Fitness Classes

We have a range of fitness classes many of which are free to members and hotel guests. Designed to suit all levels of fitness and experience and run at times convenient to accommodate all membership levels. And, even if you’re not a member or hotel guest you’re more than welcome to join one of the classes for a small charge.


YOGA

FITNESS YOGA: This is a yoga-based fitness class using music for movements and relaxation. It is a gentle way of improving muscles, tendons, joints and internal organs. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

Classes:

Wednesday: 10am – 11am; and 11am – 12pm

Thursday: 10am – 11am

HATHA YOGA: It includes disciplines, postures (asana), purification procedures (shatkriya), gestures (mudra), breathing (pranayama), and meditation.

Classes:

Tuesday 7 – 8pm

Cost: Peak members and hotel guests FREE, Off Peak members FREE for morning classes and £5.00 for evening classes, Non-members £5.00.


Zumba

The Zumba programme fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.

Classes

Monday: 7.30pm – 8.30pm

Tuesday: 10am – 11am

Pilates with Swiss Balls

This is a brand new type of pilates class, developed in conjunction with the use of Swiss Balls and taught exclusively at The Edge. The class is aimed at strengthening the back, stomach and improving core stability.

Classes:

Monday 10am – 11am and 11am – 12pm

Friday 10am – 11am; and 11am – 12pm

Barbell Workout

All over body workout, intense 30-Min class.

Classes:

Monday 6pm – 6.30pm

 Cost: Peak members and hotel guests FREE, Off Peak members and Non-members £5.00


Bodyweight Workout

Using JUST your own bodyweight for an intense complete body workout.

Classes:

Monday 6.30pm – 7.00pm

 Cost: Peak members and hotel guests FREE, Off Peak members and Non-members £5.00


PiYo

Define yourself! A lower impact class, PiYo is a mix of Pilates & yoga and elements of cardio for a more intense workout.

Classes:

Wednesday 6.00pm – 7.00pm

PiYo Flow

New for 2017!

PiYo Flow, with Vicki, is the latest new class to be confirmed in our class timetable.   Flowing yoga & pilates sequences to build strength, improve flexibility & free your mind.

Classes:

Tuesday 11.00am – 12.00pm

Body Conditioning

Bodyweight & Light weights, a complete bodyweight workout including cardio and core.

Classes:

Friday 7.00pm – 8.00pm

 Cost: Peak members and hotel guests FREE, Off Peak members and Non-members £5.00


Circuit training

The circuit training class includes a variety of movements and exercises concentrating on all those common ‘problem’ areas. The 60-minute workout comprises different exercise stations, each one working a different muscle group and is great for improving overall fitness.

Blast FX

Blast FX is a high intensity body weight workout – good for strengthening, toning and cardio.

Wednesday 7pm – 8pm Blast FX

Saturday 8.30am – 9.30am Blast FX

Aqua Aerobics

Aqua Aerobics is the perfect workout with no impact.

Classes:

Friday 9.30am – 10.15am

Pad Boxing

Pad Boxing is an excellent alternative cardio option which is only 45 minutes long – long enough to get a good sweat on. Ideal for beginners and welcome to newcomers
