Fitness classes

We have a range of fitness classes many of which are free to members and hotel guests. They’re designed to suit all levels of fitness and experience and run at times convenient to accommodate all membership levels. And, even if you’re not a member or hotel guest you’re more than welcome to join one of the classes for a small charge.

Yoga

Yoga

FITNESS YOGA: This is a yoga-based fitness class using music for movements and relaxation. It is a gentle way of improving muscles, tendons, joints and internal organs. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

Classes:

  • Wednesday: 10am - 11am; and 11am - 12pm
  • Thursday: 10am - 11am
 

HATHA YOGA: It includes disciplines, postures (asana), purification procedures (shatkriya), gestures (mudra), breathing (pranayama), and meditation.

Classes:

  • Tuesday 7 - 8pm
 

Cost: Peak members and hotel guests FREE, Off Peak members FREE for morning classes and £5.00 for evening classes, Non-members £5.00.

Zumba

Zumba

The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.

Pad Boxing

Pad Boxing

Pad Boxing is a diverse and intense workout which is ideally suited for a great cardio workout in a short space of time. If you’re looking to relieve some stress this is definitely the class for you (45mins).

Pilates with Swiss Balls

Pilates with Swiss Balls

This is a brand new type of pilates class, developed in conjunction with the use of Swiss Balls and taught exclusively at The Edge. The class is aimed at strengthening the back, stomach and improving core stability.

  • Friday 10am - 11am; and 11am - 12pm

New for 2016!  Define yourself! A lower impact class with a mix of Pilates & yoga and elements of cardio for a more intense workout.

Circuit training

Circuit training

The class includes a variety of movements and exercises concentrating on all those common 'problem' areas. The 60-minute workout comprises different exercise stations, each one working a different muscle group and is great for improving overall fitness.
