The Ceremony
Civil Marriage ceremonies follow a similar format to that held in a register office. There is a choice of vows which can be taken and you may choose to have background music played or maybe a poetry reading. The ceremony must be strictly civil and have no religious information to it. The Norwich Superintendent Registrar will be happy to advise you should you have any questions to ask regarding the ceremony. Before the ceremony takes place you must choose two witnesses.
The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes.
The suite chosen for your Civil Ceremony will have a red carpet aisle and we have a CD player available so background music can be played whilst the ceremony takes place.
Please ask to be shown around our choice of banqueting suites and the hotel's accommodation.
