CHAMPAGNE
Perrier Jouet Grand Brut NV
This Grand Marque house is right on song and displays lovely aromas and flavours of tropical fruit. A full citrus, spice and yeast fruit flavour dominate the front palate followed by elegance, complexity. Overall this has a fine, persistent mousse followed by lingering flavours of fresh apples and lemons. This is delightfully crisp and balanced Champagne.
Moet et Chandon, Brut Imperial NV
Medium in weight and fruit, with a fine strong mousse. A generous wine of great elegance to which the Chardonnay contributes hints of brioche and hazelnut.
Pol Roger White Foil NV
Founded in 1849 this fantastic house remains privately owned and cultivates nearly 200 acres of the finest vineyards in the Valle d`Epernay and Cotes de Blancs. Aromas of white flowers, green apples and a hint of minerality precede a vigorous flavour dominated with stone fruits and a touch of nuttiness. A lovely honey ripeness compliments a lively lemony acidity making this very sought after, indeed this was Sir Winston Churchills favourite champagne.
Billecart Salmon Rose NV
Inviting colour, with strawberry and biscuit hints on the nose, perfect aperitif.
Laurent Perrier Rose NV
One of the few rose Champagnes made by a technique called ‘saignee’, where the red grape skins are left on the wine for up to 3 days, giving the wine its unique deep salmon pink colour. On the nose the wine shows hints of red and black fruit, reminiscent of raspberries, black cherries and blackcurrants. The wine is fresh, rounded and supple, with a long finish.
SPARKLING WINE
Prosseco Brut Borgo del Col Alto (Italy) NV
Fashionable Italian Sparkler produced in the Veneto region. Pale light yellow colour, with fine mousse. Delicately fruity, slightly aromatic bouquet with hints of flowers among which honey and wild apple scents are perceived. It is well balanced and light.
